Your new company
Our client, a public sector entity based in Darwin, is recruiting an Electrical Asset and Maintenance Officer to join their team and assist in the development of the asset and maintenance planning for the organization's property portfolio.
Your new role
You will be responsible for assisting the Asset Management team in developing and implementing systems, programs and plans to maintain the organization's electrical assets and infrastructure compliant. This is a Temporary role for an initial duration of 6 weeks, with the potential for an extension and an eventual Permanent position, based in Darwin.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Organize, manage, and oversee the routine maintenance of the organization's electrical assets including engaging and supervising contractors.
* Manage and coordinate the activities of suppliers and contractors to ensure the delivery of works is performed according to safety, quality, and contractual standards.
* Monitor and report on electrical asset maintenance plans and programs.
* Contribute to the development of governance including policy, procedures, and guidelines.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Qualifications and previous experience in Electrical trade.
* NT Electrical Licence (or transferable) and Certificate III in Electrotechnology (unrestricted Electrical Licence is desirable).
* Previous experience working under a Maintenance Contract for electrical assets.
* Previous experience in engaging and managing contractors is desirable.
* Strong level of customer service skills.
* High-level of communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
