Our Logistics Division is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Planner & Controller to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our fleet management activities. This role involves overseeing and coordinating tasks related to vehicle acquisition, maintenance scheduling, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and service providers to ensure the fleet is well-managed, maintained, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Ideally located in Clayton or the Southeast Melbourne area, you will report directly to the National Fleet Manager. What you'll do: Life Cycle Coordination: Support asset life cycle decisions (replace, refurbish, rebuild). Assist with onboarding, disposal, design, and specification of new assets. Set and audit fleet standard programs. Repairs and Maintenance: Coordinate key repairs & maintenance activities using asset reporting systems, focusing on COR and cost control. Liaise with the Fleet Administrator for internal repairs & maintenance reporting. Set and monitor servicing intervals and ensure compliance. Support operations to achieve maximum adherence to repairs & maintenance schedules. Collaborate on ad-hoc repairs & maintenance impacts and communicate financial impacts. Vendor Coordination: Engage and coordinate suppliers for repairs & maintenance activities. Ensure timely supplier reporting and communication. Monitor and escalate issues with supplier contracts, service level agreements (SLA’s), and warranties. Compliance, Safety, and Emergency Response: Ensure vehicle compliance with heavy vehicle regulations. Set reporting programs for chain of responsibility and compliance activities. Identify and coordinate safety improvements for fleet assets. Manage plans for accidents, breakdowns, and other emergencies.
