Due to ongoing expansion, an opportunity is now available for a Licensed Customs Broker. You will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day customs clearance functions and processes in line with company performance expectations, standards and KPIs and ensuring compliance with relevant government bodies.
Responsibilities will include:
* Undertake customs valuation, classification, and final entry lodgement
* Determine and track duties and taxes payable and process payments on behalf of client
* Applying for tariff concessions including preparing refund/duty drawbacks
* Regularly liaise with clients to provide advice and up to date information affecting their business relating to tariff classification of goods, rates of duty, tariff concession orders, methods of valuation and origin requirements of the Customs Act
* Remain CPD compliant and up to date with ABF and DAFF industry changes and trends
* Provide support with transportation coordination and ad hoc freight forwarding tasks as required
* Build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
To be successful you will have recent experience in a similar role with proven history of working within Australian Customs processes and protocols. A thorough understanding of documentation and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Strong time management with a high attention to detail.
