This laboratory provides Microbiology services to several hospitals within the South West Sydney Local Health District including Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Bankstown, Camden and Bowral hospitals, using state-of-the-art in automation technology and digital bacteriology. This shift position is key to the continued provision of high class 24 hour, 7 days per week Microbiology services, and as such will be required to work within a rotating roster with other scientific and technical assistant staff to cover out of hour’s services. This position provides an opportunity to enter the clinical Microbiology industry. You will be working in the brand new Microbiology Department located in the Integrated Service Building recently opened within the Liverpool Hospital Precinct working on the latest state of the art Microbiology automation. Other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and the maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols will also be undertaken.
