* Higher Education Officer Level 5 | $80,405 - $88,737 p.a. (Exclusive of 17% Super)
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our innovative sleep research team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of high-quality clinical trials while assisting our Chief Investigator and other researchers.
You will help maintain compliance with clinical trial protocols, recruit and schedule participants, and manage logistics to facilitate trial operations. Operating laboratory equipment safely, you will also support data collection efforts and contribute to accurate research findings. Your coordination skills will be vital in organizing meetings and ensuring effective communication within the team. Additionally, you will assist with the financial aspects of clinical trials, including managing equipment and payments, while providing essential administrative support.

About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
* Completion of a degree, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training in a relevant field of science (e.g. medical sciences, psychology)
* Effective to well-developed ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with a wide range of people
* Interest in respiratory and sleep disorders/human physiology
* Effective to well-developed ability to contribute to the development and coordination of research experiments
* Ability to provide functional supervision to more junior staff and students where necessary.

FHMRI Sleep Health
FHMRI Sleep Health conducts world-leading transdisciplinary research to advance knowledge of sleep, sleep disorders and develop new treatments to improve sleep and is situated within the College of Medicine and Public Health. It also provides a sleep disorders clinical service with a primarily focus on treatment for Insomnia and sleep disordered breathing.
