Within an evolving and effective team, our Deputy Principals work across three distinct areas: Cluster Lead – this involves supporting allocated classroom teachers to implement our school Playbook across Tier 1 practices in their classroom, ensuring high fidelity is achieved in all whole school pedagogical practices. This includes instructional coaching in all areas of teaching practice, and capacity development of teachers aligned to performance and development goals. Student Case Lead – within allocated classes, the Deputy Principal supports student success through high quality case management for students requiring additional support. Through expert understanding of student learning, wellbeing and behaviour support structures, our Deputy Principals create partnerships with teachers, students and families to embed supportive systems and practices for all students. Project Lead – aligned to our Annual Plan, project and improvement areas are allocated to a member of our Leadership Team for sophisticated change and project management. These roles are focused on whole school implementation and development of aligned systems and practices for sustainable embedding of improved school achievement. As a uniquely complex role, our Deputy Principals experience a dynamic and collaborative work environment, where all members of the team are expected to 'lift their load' in accountability, operational resilience and delivering high expectations for our school.
