While assistance is available from senior members of the Data Center Team, it is highly desirable that the candidate has excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Any delay in resolution could adversely affect SLAs with the Clients and could compromise Client Data Security.This position is REMOTE for the most part, but the role will be required to come onsite to our Norfolk Headquarters office on occasion as needed.Professional Experience/Qualifications:5+ years of Network Engineering professional experienceCertifications: CCNA, SNPA (Cisco ASA Firewall Associate), CCSP/CCNP R&S/CCNP Security desired.Expertise in technologies like: Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco Routers, Firewalls (ASA & Palo Alto), ISE, VPN, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, QoS, VoIP.Experience with Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancers, Gigamon, Cisco ISE, NAC, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.Experience with Wireshark or any other sniffer software to troubleshoot network issues.Experience with Network administration and monitoring using tools like Solarwinds, Netflow, Envision, Cirrus.Very strong analytical abilities and professional office experience required.High Integrity, strong work ethic as well as being of high aptitude and attention to detail.Able to work as a Team Player who is loyal & committed to team and mission.BS/BA Preferred, technical degree and/or equivalent experience.Job Description/ Key Responsibilities:Planning and Supporting Network Infrastructure by making configuration changes to Network devices like: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Load Balancers.Perform troubleshooting analysis of Network Infrastructure for all PRA offices while working closely with other departments within the organization, IT staff in the UK, and vendors/Service Providers.Assist in providing technical guidance to other Network team members for trouble ticket completion and infrastructure configuration.Document all network problems and resolutions for future reference.Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations on improving Network Infrastructure.Guide and mentor the efforts of junior PRA Networking staff in supporting and troubleshooting PRA network devices.Provide Inventory reports on Network devices.Recommend improvements to enhance technical capabilities of the system and reduce operating costs.Create and Maintain Work Instructions and SOPs.Responsible for performing escalations to Vendors to resolve any issues beyond the scope of the Data Center Storage Team.This role will participate in an On-Call support rotation every 4-5 weeks.At PRA Group, we're committed to helping our employees reach their highest potential by offering competitive salaries, proprietary training programs, tuition reimbursement programs, comprehensive healthcare, health, dental and vision benefits, maternal and paternal leave, holiday pay, and PTO, an employee assistance program, and valuable opportunities to establish a long career within our organization.
