Senior HR Advisor, Performance and Employee RelationsJob No: 496950Work Type: Full timeLocation: CanberraAbout the roleThe People & Culture Section is responsible for developing and implementing policies and strategies to ensure the National Archives' workforce and workplace has the tools and capabilities to achieve our key roles and responsibilities. The section administers employment arrangements under the National Archives Enterprise Agreement and key services including payroll, recruitment and performance management. The section also oversees work health and safety arrangements, workforce planning and the delivery of professional development opportunities and frameworks.The Senior HR Advisor, Performance and Employee Relations, supports the Assistant Director Wellbeing and Employee Relations to deliver a high level of service to National Archives. The role is responsible for the management of the National Archives Performance Management program and employee relations matters.Under limited direction the main duties of the role are to:Support the management of employee relations and performance management cases, including dispute resolution, review of actions and grievance and code of conduct investigations.Provide advice and support to managers and employees on the National Archives Performance Management Policy.Coordinate and manage the implementation of the Performance Management program, providing ongoing support and guidance to managers and employees regarding the performance management cycle and completion of Individual Work Plans (IWP).Provide reports to Senior Management of IWPs for their branches.Deliver regular corporate information sessions on the performance cycle.Manage the implementation of the SES Performance Leadership Framework.Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policy and process improvements.Assist with drafting and developing executive briefs, committee papers and Questions on Notice.Provide secretariat support to the National Archives Workplace Relations Committee.Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.Identify and deliver developments and innovations to enhance service delivery and the customer experience.Take responsibility for a self-managed workload by meeting deadlines, making decisions within parameters and escalating complex issues as necessary.Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity, work health and safety and participative management within a work and team environment.Promote and apply the National Archives' Vision, Mission and Commitments as expressed in Strategy 2030 and Our Values.To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen.If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.How to applyYou need to apply through the e-recruitment system PageUp via the Apply Now button below.
