Cambridge Management Services / Bright & Duggan Property Group have an opportunity for a passionate and customer focused Building Manager to join our team in Newcastle.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to facilitate the repairs and maintenance of common property.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and aesthetics of the shared facilities, infrastructure, and amenities within the property.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the building manager will be the main contact for all repairs and maintenance and the conduit between the client and contractors.
A high level of computer literacy is essential to ensure your success in this position.

About the role: Identify and address critical maintenance issues to ensure safety and functionality of essential building systems.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and foster strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
Participate in regular meetings with management, clients, and contractors to provide updates on building operations and address any concerns.
Develop and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for preventative maintenance.
Prepare and negotiate new contracts and service agreements to meet building requirements.
Ensure all building operations comply with local regulations and standards by conducting regular audits and inspections.
Respond to emergencies and urgent issues, communicate effectively with tenants and stakeholders during incidents.
About You: Proven experience as a Building/Facilities Manager or a similar role in Strata.
Excellent computer literacy is required.
This role is highly administrative focused.
Solid understanding of building systems, facilities management, and maintenance best practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Budgeting and financial management skills to monitor expenses and adhere to allocated budgets.
