Are you looking for the chance to do things differently?
The Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) are embarking on an ambitious and exciting future, and we need the right senior HR person to help us achieve our goals. The ACT was established on 1 July 2022, so we are in the process of building our policies, practices and culture.
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will work as a true generalist, with all layers of the organisation and see behind the curtain of iconic venues such as His Majesty’s Theatre, State Theatre Centre and others.
In this role you will:
1. Meet with leaders or staff at our venues to understand how our organisation works, providing them pragmatic advice.
2. Develop policies from the ground up, thinking about how our culture should be reflected in them.
3. Solve transactional problems and deliver transactional services so the business can do what it does best.
4. Help internal customers to understand WA Public Sector processes and find efficiencies.
5. Dive into legislation, Agreements and Awards to make sure we are compliant with WA Public Sector Standards.
6. Contribute to strategic conversations and future focused activities, especially the role of HR in vibrant, safe and productive workplaces.
There will be a lot of change, so this will be your opportunity to influence how we deliver Human Resources, create cultural change that benefits our people, and implement programs to support our internal customers.
You’ll be the natural successor to the Manager Human Resources and receive exposure to the wider business and strategic planning. We are looking for someone we can really invest in!
This role will be 12-months, fixed-term with the possibility of permanency.
We offer:
7. Flexible work practices.
8. 3 additional days of leave per year (public service holidays).
9. 14 weeks paid parental leave, with additional flexibility for new parents returning to work.
10. A chance to get behind the scenes of venues that are a part of the cultural fabric of Western Australia.
ACT is an equal opportunity employer committed to workplace equity and diversity. Aboriginal people, women, young people, people with disability and people from culturally diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Are you ready?
11. Hit apply for job and submit:
12. a CV with two work references
13. a two-page cover letter that outlines your experience in delivering organisational change, or implementing a new, complex HR initiative.
Conditions
A current Satisfactory (within 6 months) National Police Clearance will be required prior to commencement of employment.
To be eligible to apply for appointment to permanent positions in the Western Australian Public Sector, you must be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia. For temporary (fixed term) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
