Primary objective Provide a high level of assistance and support to the NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) College to ensure effective delivery and oversight of of financial, procurement, administration and resource management services. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Assist the NTPFES College in the areas of budget, finance, procurement, administration and resource management. 2. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Administration team to ensure effective and efficient service is provided to clients and staff within the College. 3. Coordinate the management of College resources and assets including the College Accommodation facilities. 4. Ensure administrative processes and guidelines are developed, implemented and maintained in accordance with College and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements. 5. Manage the accounts payable/receivable processes for the College in accordance with NT Government financial policies and systems. 6. Conduct regular financial audits of telecommunications and IT equipment and services within the College to ensure that the College is only paying for authorised commitments. Selection criteria Essential 1. Demonstrated high-level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively, at all levels, using sound written and verbal communication skills. 2. Demonstrated high-level supervisory skills and the ability to motivate staff, lead change and influence others to achieve outcomes. 3. High level of client focussed services with the ability to use initiative and make informed decisions. 4. Demonstrated high level of administrative experience, advance MS Office skills and organisational skill with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. 5. Proven ability to analyse issues, solve problems and adopt a proactive attitude with minimum direction. 6. Experience in project management and/or event management. Desirable 1. Knowledge and understanding of the structure and roles within the NTPFES. 2. Experience in various NT Government financial systems.
