Job Title: Senior Engineer (Stormwater Infrastructure)
We are inviting expressions of interest for Senior Engineer (Stormwater Infrastructure) roles with local governments across Southeast Queensland (SEQ).
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer (Stormwater Infrastructure), you will play a key role in managing the design, delivery, and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure to protect communities and enhance environmental sustainability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Leading the planning, design, and implementation of stormwater projects.
* Conducting hydrological and hydraulic assessments to mitigate flood risks.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and environmental guidelines.
* Managing asset maintenance, condition assessments, and lifecycle planning.
* Providing technical advice and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to capacity building.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
* Extensive experience in stormwater infrastructure design, assessment, and management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
* Excellent communication, project management, and leadership abilities.
