Your focus will be on maintaining a high bar of engineering quality, improving our testing infrastructure and automation processes, and ultimately driving continuous improvement of the reliability of our key e-commerce operations. This will involve working with our integration platforms (middleware/iPaaS) and third-party software as well as a mix of automated and manual testing strategies. As a senior member of our QA team, your opinion and ideas are valued and you will have the opportunity to grow with us as a company and make impactful decisions.Your Responsibilities:Review technical specifications and create test strategiesPropose improvements in test systems and processes to improve quality or speed of testingConduct user acceptance and exploratory testingDevelop automated functional and performance testsIdentify test gaps and improve test plansPerform manual testing of new features and bug fixesIdentify and root cause issues in distributed systems, eg microservice, event drivenOwn the end-to-end testing of various integrated proprietary and third-party servicesPropose code design changes to increase testabilityIssue triaging and stakeholder engagementGuide teams on testing best practices, coordinating test coverage across unit, integration, and contract testingConduct functional, regression, performance, ETL and end-to-end testing of new application releases and change requestsGuide engineering team in terms of test execution and review/audit the work done to ensure completeness and qualityUnderstand and negotiate with relevant stakeholders on identifying the severity and follow up until issues found are closedPrepare and maintain all QA documentation such as Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Metrics, Issues List and relevant recordsIdentify potential problems that end user might encounter and make suggestions on improvements requiredReconciling data between key systems to ensure data consistencyAbout You:3-5+ years of experience in a senior software quality assurance capacity with the ability to understand, develop and execute test strategies and plansAbility to self-motivate and lead the test strategy and executionProficiency in Typescript a mustProven track record in developing automated solutions from scratchExpert in API (RESTful) testing frameworks and toolsPassion for improving quality of everything, including deployment, security, stability and performance or any other aspect of engineeringExperience in defining performance test requirements and carrying out load and stress testsExperience working in cross functional teams, providing support throughout the software development life cycleAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively with a cross-functional team of software developers, product managers, and designersAbility to identify and demonstrate your experience in optimising and quality assurance processesStrong understanding of test execution in CICD, preferably YAML-based pipelinesFamiliarity with iPaaS or Middleware is desirableRole LocationAt Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success.
