Your opportunity:Join our team of mobile clinicians as a Speech Pathologist to deliver high-quality services to adults in residential aged care and the community.Dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention for adults living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders and ageing-related decline are key areas of focus.We welcome both recent graduates and experienced clinicians to apply.A permanent full-time or part-time opportunity is available.You will report to your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and provide mobile Speech Pathology services to adults in residential aged care facilities and the local community. Our clients include individuals living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.As a valued member of our team, you will have access to extensive resources and internal clinical supervision. You will also have opportunities to attend internal and external workshops, as well as $500 to pursue professional development programs that align with your interests.Your responsibilities will include:Managing your calendar of appointments to ensure flexibility and work-life balance.Conducting assessments and diagnoses of swallowing and communication difficulties in clients.Potential national travel may be required to support clients in regional locations.Providing telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention services.Liaising with our close-knit national team of Speech Pathologists to ensure seamless client care.Advocating for support and services for clients with communication difficulties.Collaborating with organisational staff, support coordinators, and colleagues to meet the unique needs of each client.Offering consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues.About UsWe are Plena Healthcare, Australia's leading national allied health provider to the aged care, community, and disability sectors.
